Just after the conclusion of the "Olympics of Martial Arts"—the 10th World Traditional Wushu Championships—two high-profile international events were held in Leshan last weekend.

“武术界奥运会” 第十届世界传统武术锦标赛刚结束，上个周末，两项国际范儿拉满的活动又在乐山举办。

On November 1, the 8th World Sichuan Cuisine Conference kicked off in Leshan. The conference established an international platform for cooperation and exchange in Sichuan cuisine. Leshan is one of the important birthplaces of Sichuan cuisine. Notably, during the opening ceremony, a plaque-awarding ceremony was held for the "First Taste of Leshan Store in Chicago, USA." It is reported that the first U.S. store of Taste of Leshan, located in Chicago, Illinois, is scheduled to open in the first half of next year. The menu will feature 20 carefully ed dishes from thousands of Leshan snacks, with must-have classics such as Qiaojiao Beef, Sweet Skin Duck, and Bobo Chicken.

11月1日，第八届世界川菜大会在乐山这座千年古城拉开帷幕。搭建了川菜合作交流国际性平台。乐山是川菜的重要发源地之一。值得一提的是，开幕式上举行了“美国芝加哥乐山味道首店”授牌仪式。据介绍，乐山味道美国首店位于美国伊利诺伊州芝加哥，英文名为“Taste of Leshan”，计划于明年上半年开业。将从上千道乐山小吃中精选20道加入美国店菜单，跷脚牛肉、甜皮鸭、钵钵鸡这些经典乐山美食是必选菜品。

On November 2, the 2025 The Belt and Road Diplomats’ Cycling Series (Leshan station) commenced. The race route was meticulously planned along the Dadu River Scenic Pathway, spanning 70 kilometers with picturesque landscapes of mountains and waters. Eleven diplomats from 30 countries, including Russia, Thailand, and Cameroon, along with 70 international students and 450 domestic athletes, enjoyed Leshan’s natural beauty while competing.

11月2日，2025“一带一路”国家驻华使节自行车系列赛（乐山站）开赛。赛道依托大渡河风景道精心规划，全程70公里，一路山水相映，风景如画。来自俄罗斯、泰国、喀麦隆等30个国家的11位驻华使节、70名留学生以及国内的450名运动员，在竞技之余尽赏乐山的自然之美。
